Under construction!

first sock

Well, I figured I should post something since this blog is half-way up and to show that I am actually still knitting, despite all the time I’m taking to look at wordpress templates, color combinations and considering on doing a little photoshop as well. Well…that would be all very well and good but my laptop is out of commission right now (currently have OS issues) and I’m borrowing the family desktop to do all the work. Bleh.

Anyway, a little bit about my current WIP. It’s my first sock! I was kindly directed to this tutorial by someone in the LiveJournal Knitting community. It’s a really great tutorial that basically shows step by step the construction of a sock. It’s great for novices, like moi, who was first apprehensive about the whole thing but so far, it hasn’t been bad at all. I actually had to re-start the entire sock using this current yarn (above) Knitpick’s Parade. I originally used Knitpick’s Dancing but the needle I used was too large and I didn’t think the sock was sturdy enough. So I frogged the entire thing and used a totally different yarn. I’m now worried that I’m running out of yarn because I only bought two skeins for a total of approx. 260 yards. Yikes! I already cut the length of the sock down by alot. Oh well…we shall see.
