Obsessions
Colours, colours galore! Knitting has introduced me to a whole world of colors that I normally wouldn’t even consider wearing. The current color of obsession has been greens and oranges. I have bought tons of green recently but been pining away in anguish over the above colorway. I gotta have this color for socks!!! I think the combo of pink/yellows/oranges is amazing and I’ve been obsessing over it for the last week. I almost dashed over to the LYS to pick up a skein of something similar but not quite but stopped myself. Budget budget budget! Yes, I’m on a yarn diet and trying to discipline myself on the buying and purchasing of yarns. I have a decent stash at home, and I do have several things lined up. But I guess this is why I started this blog: to help me organize my knitting projects!
Off the top of my head, my to do list:
* Fitted Tank using Blue Sky Alpacas Dyed Cotton in Expresso
* Anthropologie Tree Hoodie using Rowan Polar in Dark Truffle
* Shrug Scarf using Araucania Cotton in Sage (light green)
So, I had a hankering for the chocolate brown color a couple weeks ago. Who can resist the color of chocolate? I have a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Fudge Brownies in the freezer. It’s so decadent, I feel ill sometimes eating it.
Back to the list, I’ve decided to put the Hoodie on hold for a while since I prolly won’t wear that in SoCal’s upcoming summer season. Funny how I say that, because somehow spring hasn’t really managed to take hold here yet. As I type, it’s nice and gloomy outside. Very atmospheric, though. I”ll prolly work on the Fitted Tank next, as I’m looking forward to working with the Blue Sky Alpacas Cotton. I’ve never knitted with this yarn so I am very looking forward to it. I’ve been so busy tinkering with this site, I haven’t knit much…I’ve said this many times, I wish had more arms…so I could knit, type, and do other things. So much to do, so little time.
Mmmm…look at this yarn! *drool*
