Keyword of the day: satisfaction.
A quick memorial day blog, and a wrap up of May. So today, I am blogging outside. The weather’s gorgeous and my parent’s backyard is gorgeous. My family had lunch outside today…and now I’m taking advantage of being outdoors. I’ve felt the winter too keenly this year and aching for hot hot weather! So here is my set up for the next couple hours…where I’ll work on my knitting and maybe some more guitar practice. God, I love it outside!
The main reason I am posting today is to show off the finished Jaywalker socks. Okay, it’s not perfect (I read the directions wrong for the heels) but I finished it before May….and I think I will test out the self-striping yarn that I dyed with that pattern again. I can’t say enough about this pattern…it’s so easy and a fairly quick knit…despite the slow knitter I am.
I love the color of this yarn. It goes perfect with May’s Project Spectrum colors and it’s such a soothing color.
Pattern: Jaywalker by Grumperina
Yarn: Sock yarn from Bitsiebrand in the color Fresh.
Needles: #1 DPN’s
Date started: 5/1/2006

Next sock project? Pomatomus from Knitty! Help! I can’t stop!
