Can you say hippo-pomat-wotever…
I keep wanting to say HIPPOPOTOMUS (sp?). I enthusiastically started this sock yesterday and while I love the pattern, I really don’t think that the yarn is going so well with the pattern. The yarn is SO variegated and so random that I think a plainer pattern works better. I can barely even see the lovely Pomatamus pattern. I really like the Pomatamus pattern though, and intend on making it, but not this yarn, right? And I’m still at two minds about this yarn. I don’t know whether I like it or hate it. It’s got some really lovely colours but it also looks such a mass and mess of colours. It sort of reminds of Fall/Autumn water colours. I don’t know….it’s just soooo busy! Okay…on to find more sock yarn because I need to work on this sock!
