Merci beaucoup One Skein Secret Pal!
First of all, I just wanted to send a big THANK YOU to my One Skein Secret Pal. She really hit it on the nose with both of them in gorgeous shades of green. Green has definitely been my colour lately. She sent me a Princess Classic Elite and Noro Silk Garden Lite yarn. Oh my gosh they are sooo pretty…how can you resist Noro yarns? And the Classic Elite yarn…wow, it’s so soft…and it’ll be something I make that’s close to the skin. *drool* Thank you. I’m not sure yet what I’ll knit but got some ideas churning in my head.
I started swatching for a new sock which is amazing because I hardly ever swatch. Awful I know but after trying to finish up another project that isn’t turning out how I want it to be, I’ve decided from now on, I will be swatching. I really don’t want to address the failed knit because even after two days, I’m still very annoyed. I like the colours of this sock, although, I did think it is a little busy. So, I decided on a very simple sock pattern which I got from Sensational Knitted Socks (my latest purchase which I am extremely happy with!). I’m knitting a Baby Cable Rib sock using handpainted yarn from Knotty Sheep (eBay seller). The stitch definitely shows the colour off well and results in quite a pretty pattern so far.
I’m also posting a photo of this yummy dish…a little gratitious but food hasn’t inspired me lately. I went to this local Japanese food deli (if there’s such a thing) and ordered this Bento lunch box a couple days ago. I chose two items: sashimi and salmon teriyaki and it also came with miso soup and salad. YUM! I love Japanese food so much…there’s nothing like it, it’s clean, strange at times, rich and always tasty. You can probably tell that I’m a huge sushi fan too.
So the photos were taken by my cameraphone. Not great exactly but they do the trick! I’m liking it alot!
