Hot hot heat!

The weather has been off the charts lately, and it’s really been difficult knitting in this heat. It’s been crazy HOT but today was alot better. I even got out to do a lil shopping and went to sushi with my boyfriend. Mmmm sushi!

I’m liking how the Dreamswatch knit is turning out…it took me a while to figure out the yarnovers and re-arranging them on the needle. I love the colour shifts of this yarn…the greens don’t show quite well but I can’t wait to wear it…when it gets cooler.

It hasn’t been all that bad though because I did start off several projects and been busy spinning as well. I finished the Arrowhead Lace headband a while back and finally blocked it…it’s so cute. It was a nice easy knit. This inspired me to find another quick knit, and I’d started on the Dreamswatch in Koigu. I was going to use one skein only but I think I can use the two and have a really nice long skinny scarf. I also started knitting Ms. Marigold from Zephyrstyle. Did you see their new patterns?! I love their patterns because it’s all knit in the round and is fairly simple but such clean designs. Ms. Marigold is treating me well so far…quite easy and fast.
Keep in mind, I am knitting them with Addis Turbo. After hearing all about this brand, I had to give it a try. I’m not used to knitting with metal needles as I usually knit with bamboo/wood but it has been faster, albeit a little slippery. I keep fretting that my stitches will slip off if I put the needles down. Mmmm, Addis…I think I’ll definitely incorporate those needles into my collection. I’ve been thinking about getting interchangeables…especially since there’s all this chatter over Knitpick’s Options that debuted recently. It seems with every project I want to knit, I have to buy new needles and well, that gets expensive. Bleh…
All this heat makes Bee a lazy girl.
