(Another ) Belated Eye Candy Friday…
Ooops…here’s a photo I took and then re-touched via Photoshop. Forgive the sloppy PS skillz, I’m still learning.
This photo was taken at a former co-worker’s wedding on Aug 19th. It was a strawberry/vanilla cake…really, really good. It was such an interesting wedding reception, my friend is vietnamese and I loved seeing the mix of western and vietnamese traditions. I learned that there were about 5 clothes change for the bride, they still do the bouquet and garter toss but really didn’t do the first couple dance. They had an 8-course meal but I don’t know if that is specific to any specific tradition. Each table had a bottle of cognac (hosted)…and a friend mentioned…oh that must be a vietnamese thing because he recently attended another vietnamese wedding. Everything was so exotic, yet at the same time, familliar. The cake, in my mind, was traditional. There was nothing new about it but it was quite yummy.
