Work hangover.
Wow, it’s been ages since I’ve written but work has been so overwhelming lately. It’s the third week of school and it’s settling down a bit. I’ve set up my classroom the way I want for now, and that’s been the major concern for me. Now, on to the rest of the activities. In case I didn’t make it clear, I’m teaching a 5-6th grade Autism class. It’s my first year as a teacher. I’m so happy teaching but it’s also been really crazy and stressful. So crazy and stressful, I’ve only managed to knit a few rows the last two weeks! It’s driving me nuts!
In the last two weeks, I got some exciting things in the mail. Knit Picks Options needles! Whee! I’m pretty stoked about this and hoping to get some knitting in during the evenings. No review yet as I haven’t even used it. I ordered yarn for my International Scarf Exchange Pal, as well as some yarn for Glampyre’s Simple Knitted Bodice. There is a KAL going on at the Sexy Knitters Club site. I think this will be my major project this fall. I don’t anticipate on bringing anymore work home…I’m learning to keep work and home separate and it’s very important for me that they are separate and that there is a balance. I work with this other teacher who stays at work until 10pm at night and goes in on weekends but there’s no way I can do that. I’m dedicated but I gotta have a life too. I would totally hate work if I went in this much!

Woo-eee! I just ordered myself the Options set on Saturday. I CAN’T wait until they come in the mail. I’ve heard such great things about them. I also ordered lots of yarn for my first sweater.
