Socktoberfest!

Socktoberfest!

It was last post ago I was talking about yarn craving. Sock yarn specifically. When buying yarn, I usually try to figure out the project first, and then buy the yarn. With socks, all logic goes out the window and it’s all about the colours and acquiring as much yarn as possible. Even when you know you have several skeins sitting at home…that oh so lovely shade is calling your name. And you bring it home to join the others in your growing stash.

When I saw Scout’s Swag in the Socktoberfest colourway, I had to get it! It greeted me when I got home today…all 500 yards of Sport sock yarn…all that squishy, colourful (and lovely smelling too) sock yarn…all mine! I will be knitting knee-high socks, I think…Lolly’s current WIP inspired me.

So yes…I welcome this new yarn with open arms…and funnily enough, it will be joined shortly by TWO skeins of Sweet Georgia yarns “I had” to have. Yikes!

Will this madness ever end?

That yarn is lovely. I have been using Socktoberfest as an excuse, I mean, opportunity to acquire more sock-yarn stash. I love the colorways from Sweet Georgia. I can’t wait to see what you picked out.
