Exhaling

I’ve been pretty useless since Friday but I did get a bit of knitting in today. I picked up some Malabrigo Chunky yarn from Stitch Cafe, which has a fantastic selction of Malabrigo’s Worsted, Chunky and Aquarella, and knit this hat.

Meathead Hat

Project: MeatHead Hat
Pattern: Larissa Brown
Yarn: Malabrigo Chunky in Violetas
Needles: #15 circs
Dates: 12/17/2006 - 12/17/2006

Notes: I wasn’t part of the KAL but I had to get this pattern when I saw it on the Meathead Hat on Flickr. This was a super fast knit…I believe I knit this hat in two hours. Two hours! Amazing. I definitely want to knit more, maybe for my nieces and nephews, and random friend’s children.

I also took a spinning class at the Stitch Cafe and while I didn’t do that well treadling, I finally understood that whole drafting process which I never quite understood drop spindling on my own. I think I’d definitely like a wheel in the future but not quite sure yet which one. It’s such an investment that I’ve balked on that idea several times. Anyway, I did quite a good job of spinning up stuff for a bird’s nest. Heh. Here’s the evidence.
