That looks so fetching, m’dear.
My first finished FO for 2007! Hoorah for Fetching! I had originally started this knit using RYC Cashsoft and Size 6 (4.25mm) DPNs and finished one fingerless mitten but stopped because it ended up being slightly too big. I like my gloves alot snugger, and the person I am gifting, has teeny hands. So I put that aside and decided to knit the Fetching in the Artyarns Supermerino I recently purchased. It’s variegated, so it doesn’t show the cables that well but I love love the colourway! I kinda wanna keep it…
Project: Fetching
Pattern: from Knitty
http://www.knitty.com/issuesummer06/PATTfetching.html
Yarn: Artyarns Supermerino #123 colourway, 1 ball
Needles: 4.25mm DPNs (#6)
Measurement of cuff: 6 inches, unstretched
Mods: Cast on 40 sts, follow original directions for the cable rounds in pattern. Once you get to knitting the palm section, I knit 22 rounds in pattern. With waste yarn, I knit 6 sts for the thumb. Knit 5 rounds in pattern, cable round, then five more rounds and used the picot bind-off.
Thumb: Remove the waste yarn, leaving 5 sts on top and 6 sts at the bottom. Knit 6 (bottom), picked up 2 sts, knit 5, picked up 2 sts. Knit 5 rounds, then bind-off.
No wonder everyone’s been so mad about these mittens…they are so easy and fun to knit. I’m aching to knit more but I have to focus on the other knits in progress…I’ve been neglecting my stranded hat and I really need to get back to it. And finish some socks too!! I took inventory and photos of my sock yarn stash…sooo purty…but yeah…I’ve built quite a collection. Heehee…oh man, I need to get movin on some socks already.
Also, I decided to join Runagogo! and get my ass moving…somehow. I’ve been way too lazy lately. Hopefully I can get motivated with the rest of the 200+ participants. Run, baybee, run!

hahahahaha. now granted i wasn’t knitting for 24 hours straight..but they were that fast i could pee, shower, eat, work and get into a fight at work. hahahaah

Your fetching glove looks beautiful. You’ve done the yarn justice and then some. The Artyarns Supermerino looks like it’s beautiful to work with–it’s the one yarn I’ve been drooling over for a long time now.
