I skip a few rows on the heel flap when I pick up the gusset, which is why I got less stitches, but obviously it works just fine if you pick up every stitch. :) Enjoy the books - Scarf Style is one of my go-to scarf books; even if I don't knit the exact pattern, there's so much in there that is inspiring.
