Kodo
No knitting content today. I am off today and being very lazy as I don’t have work. I’m off for Lincoln’s Birthday…or as I’d like to think, Boyfriend’s Birthday day.
I suprised him by taking him to see Kodo’s One Earth Tour on Sunday. Kodo is a Japanese Taiko drumming group from the Island of Sado. Apparently they tour the US every two years and are currently on tour until the end of March. I have to bring up Kodo because it was a very intense experience and I was honored to have witnessed such a special traditional art form. If they stop by your area…make sure to check them out!
It was also nice to visit my alma mater. Go Bruins! It brought back alot of memories walking through the campus and then hitting up Westwood village. I pretty much dragged boyfriend around the campus and Westwood village trying to see which restaurants/stores were still around…finding old favourites and remiscing about old times…had some pizza from good ol’ Lamonicas, bought cookies and and a yummy ice cream sammich at Diddy Riese where they still sell killer munchies and it’s apparently still popular. Sighhhhhh….I had some good college memories.
Gonna keep this short and will post photos from yesterday (no photos of Kodo because cameras were not allowed). Today is officially boyfriend’s bday…we went to yoga and had a nice lunch earlier. Today has been very nice so far.
