A piece of beauty
My poor, frequently dropped cell phone rings through the haze of sleep.”Hello?” I manage to say.
It’s 2.05am.
“Hey babe, I just got off work fifteen minutes ago.” Said the boyfriend who I dropped off at work Sunday morning at the buttcrack of dawn. 5.36am to be specific.
“Damn, no wonder I didn’t hear from you today. I figured that if you needed to get a hold of me you would have. I thought that you might be sleeping already and I didn’t want to bother you, especially since you got to work so early.”
“No, I just got off fifteen minutes ago. Do you realize how much overtime I’ve done today?”
Let me do the math. He was on the clock at 6am, gets billed normal time for 12 hours. Okay, time and a half starts after 6pm. Or is it double time? I don’t know.
Put it this way, that one day, is more yarn money than I even care to think of. Geez, is yarn all I ever think about? I really don’t need anymore yarn. It’s funny how nowadays, I equate pay day with “yay, lets go shopping for yarn-day.”
Specs:Project: Monkey Socks by Cookie A. from Knitty

So much for doing the Lime N Violet sock marathon. I’m not making a dent because I keep buying sock yarn. I cannot help myself. It’s an addiction I tell ya. I really don’t need more yarn.
Heehee.

pretty socks, cool shoes! I’ll have to start some of those Cookie patterns soon, but they all -though beautifull- just seem so complicated…

Gorgeous socks! I knit my pair in boring navy wool. Oh, but I want to order yarn from her now.

I really do love your work. I think your socks are great! It’s also a good idea for a present. Actually, I’m just getting into knitting but I’m becoming an addict. I found an interesting web-site www.kokobino.com where there are really nice knitting kits with original patterns. Sometimes they have discounts on the web-site. Have you tried it ?
