Muntu Stitches

I thought I was having blogging issues but it turns out it’s a plugin…and I really don’t know all that much about this all. That doesn’t excuse my lack of blogging though…been meaning too but then all I seem to do is sit and read other people’s blogs and I have been trying to make some progress on some knits, while I squeeze work in between. What’s been up? I’ll have to bullet point the random things going on. It’s quicker and faster.

• Finished my first pomatomus sock #1 out of Lisa Souza’s South Pacific. Inspired/copied by Leah’s own Pom socks. Ooh, and I love me my Coffee Bean.
• Made my own granola from this” recipe. Yum. I used flax, cashew nuts, dried blueberries and pumpkin seeds. Smelled wonderful.
• Tried this Stewed Okra and Tomato dish several days ago from Fat Free Vegan Kitchen. I went a little crazy on the cayenne pepper, so it didn’t quite turn out the way I wanted but it was delish.
• I heart sushi. ‘Nuff said.
• Attempting to make the Two Tone shrug (after being inspired by Leah, again). Her shrug is so awesome! I tried to destash some of the manos I had but this green and lavender didn’t really go well. Not really. So off to the lys I go to find another contrast colour.
• It was my big 3-0 on the 19th. Glad that day is over with, now I can get on ahead with my 30s. It was nice and mellow. Sushi, sake, slightly drunk bowling, ravioli, lobster and more sock yarn. What more can this girl ask for? No photos though. The best thing I like about my birthday? Is that it’s two days before Spring!

I had to post this photo because my brother is getting too dammed good already. Makes me also want to get a Digital SLR…umm, nevermind, that is alot of sock yarn money.
