The not-so perfect knit.

I love a good t-shirt but I’ve been looking for more than the average tee. One of my fave finds has been the tees at Super Maggie. Her designs are free flowing and very entrenched in nature. I think I own 5 shirts already. This happens to be my fave. I love the combos of blues and browns.

Super Maggie Octopus & Waves

Mmm, octopus!

FOs. I have them but so far I still haven’t put the buttons on my Flair. But here I have the long awaited Gentlemen’s Lozenge socks. At last!

Gentleman's Lozenge Sock

Yarn: Cherry Tree Hill in Java (2 skeins from The Loopy Ewe).
Pattern: Nancy Bush’s Vintage Socks
Needles: Size #0 DPNs

Do you notice the mismatched colours? Different dyelots. One skein had more greens in it, and the other was a plain brown. Ugh. I went ahead and knit it anyway. Knitting it in size zero needles was painstaking but it’s done. And somehow, I also had issues with gauge. Anyway, I could go on…but I’d rather move on to the next knit. :) I just hope the recipient likes the socks. They are quite cool despite all the aforementioned complaints I had. Hee.

On another note, I just signed up to run the Nike’s Women’s Marathon…eek. Wot have I got myself into!? More on that later!

Wow, this shirt looks fantastic! That’s certainly a different and unique style - one that I’d love to wear too! Beautiful colors!
The difference in the dyelots of the socks is really impressive - it looks like totally different yarn! And did you knit them on different needle sizes? But the pattern is totally gorgeous - actually, this is the pattern that I so fell in love with that I really have to get this book by Nancy Bush - awesome!
