Foliage for fall
I’ve done more stash enhancement this week. Wow, you’d think I was running out but I’ll post them soon. A couple of them are too delish to keep to myself.
I’ve been a huge fan of Pigeon Roof Studios lately. I cannot say enough about her handspun and her sock yarns. To drool for!
Pattern: Foliage Hat
Source: Knitty
Yarn: Malabrigo Merino Worsted in Sunset (1 skein)
Needles: #8 circs and DPN’s, #5 for the ribbing
Completed: November 2007
Notes: I love malabrigo and this pattern was super easy as well. Great combination overall. I will definitely make more of these hats, perhaps to gift for christmas time. Man, how do I love Malabrigo.
Now, I should have gone down a needle size since I knit rather loosely. As a result, the hat has come out a little larger and I’ve taken to wearing it like a beret. I am rather fond of large, floppy hats though. Especially soft, floppy hats.

This is a great hat! and I love the beautiful orange you used. Perhaps I should make one of these too…
