Sweet Liesl

This is one sweet pattern for sure. I cast off a while ago (early July) but it seems I can’t get my blogging/finishing knits together. I’m realizing that right now, I don’t have the patience for knitting garments that much but I don’t mind little sweaters like this sweet Liesl. This was a fast knit and started my burgeoning love for knitting simple lacy items. More on that later…

It’s a crap photo but if you click on it, you can see the front view on my Flickr Stream. I really rushed to take these photo just cos I wanted an outdoor shot but it was also so hot outside.

Pattern: Liesl by Ysolda Teague
Yarn: Dream in Color in Gothic Rose
Needle: 10.5, 24 inch circs.

With time off (lots and lots of time), I’ve been knitting like crazy really. Almost too fast to post anything, which also reminds me that I gotta post the Noro shawl. (Totally forgot!) So in queue to post, the Noro shawl, Chickadee Cowl, Newsboy Cap, one pair of Hedera sock, an almost finished El Capitan Hat.

Speaking of my new love of lace. Been rushing to finish of the last couple of WIPs because for the Ravelympics event, I’ll be knitting the gorgeous Loop Shawl from the Sensual Knits. I’ll be using Elsebeth Lavold’s Silky Tweed that’s been in my stash for tooooo long now. I hope it works out okay with the pattern. I haven’t knit much lace patterns, so this is a first diving into lace and shawl knitting. I cannot wait to cast on tomorrow!

Ahhh, I love summer days. Sometimes I wish I could just spend days like these, knitting and more knitting.
